Converting dwg files to dgn files in Autocad®

This tutorial is designed to utilize a command in AutoCAD 2005 or later for importing Bentley’s MicroStation files.
Objective:
By the end of this tutorial you should be able to successfully import MicroStation files (*.dgn) to AutoCAD files (*.dwg) using AutoCAD 2005 or later.
1. Open Autocad and in the command line type the system variable MAPIMPORT.
2. Then “Import Location” dialog box should be displayed, in the “Files of type:” list box chose MicroStation Design (*.dgn). Chose the file to import.
3. The “Import” dialog box gives you the option to exclude/include layers.
4. Once you have selected OK, the image should begin the import process.
